Hosta Twilight

If you are looking for a large sized variegated plant than Hosta Twilight is one that you should take a look at. Twilight gets to about 15 inches high and 38 inches in diameter and forms a loose mound of green and yellow foliage.

This is a bright and cheerful Hosta plant that has a dark green leaf with yellow gold margins. The leaves are about 10 inches long and 7 inches wide. It is a good sized plant with leaves that are large enough to show the detail in the variegation. The leaves of this perennial plant are thick and slightly cupped.

H. Twilight is sun resistant, slug resistant, and has a medium rate of growth so it is an extremely versatile and attractive plant for the garden landscape.

The lavender flowers bloom from July to August and are held above the plant on flower stalks that are about 28 inches high. This Fortunei Hosta is very useful in the home landscape.

This particular Hosta variety is not one of the more popular and as such is pretty reasonably priced. If you are looking for an easy care and slightly cheap hosta this one is worth a look.

Easy to grow and easy to propagate from divisions you can quickly have quite a few of these perennials in your garden within a few years. This plant isn’t fussy about the care that it receives and will work well for any beginner that can supply it with regular watering and well drained soil.

Twilight can be planted with other Hosta plants (Hosta Guacamole for example) or with many other sun or shade perennials to form an attractive planting area.

Hosta Twilight has many good qualities and few bad ones and is a plant that should be considered for the garden.
