Plastic Ice Cubes

If you've ever run out of ice cubes or get tired of people emptying the ice cube tray and not refilling it you might want to look at some of the plastic ice cubes that are available. These handy fake ice cubes can be frozen and then used in your favorite drink to keep it cold.

They come in many colors and shapes so whatever occasion it is that you are celebrating you should be able to find the right one to fit your needs. I'm not even going to get into the led flashing ice cubes that's a whole other subject for another day.

If you are not so concerned about the filling of the trays (I'm not) the watering down of the drinks as the regular ice melts in your glass could be another reason to go with the plastic ones instead of actual frozen water. On a hot summer day the ice in your cup will melt fast and the drink will become weaker and weaker. I can't stand a watered down soda but I also don't want to drink a warm one.

What to do? What to do? Sorry I couldn't resist throwing that in there, it's really not that big a deal or a decision that you should stress over. Buy them or not, it should not be a life or death decision.

I'm not exactly sure what is inside the ... I keep saying cube but you can get things that are not cube shaped... decorative fake ice thingy but it will stay in the plastic so that doesn't concern me. If it concerns you let me know I'm sure I can find out if I really want to know. I find out way too much stuff for my own good.

You can normally pick these novelty items at any large department store during the summer season. They are also widely available at online retailers and some party supply places.

You can even get ones that are shaped like actual ice cubes. That's kind of tricky of the manufacturers. Creating a fake ice cube that actually looks like a real one. Don't let them fool you.
